Mayor Pro Tem Brenda Brasher was first elected to the Mascotte City Council in 2002. Her current term began in November 2018 and runs through November 2020.
Mrs. Brasher attended the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and has been awarded the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk. She is a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, the Florida Association of City Clerks, the Florida Records Management Association and National Notary Association. She has served as the President of Lake County League of Cities and the Secretary of the Central Florida City Clerks and Finance Officer’s Association.
Mayor Pro Tem Brasher has lived in Mascotte for 22 years.
Mayor Pro Tem Brasher has volunteered her time in the community in several capacities. She was a volunteer for the Ocoee Founders’ Day Festival, the Orange County Public Schools Read 2 Succeed Program, and served as Secretary for the Little League. Council Member Brasher has also volunteered her time for Mascotte’s Cinco de Mayo Festival and currently volunteers for the Mascotte Volunteer/Rescue Squad, assisting them with fundraising activities.
