COVID-19-City Hall-Public Works Code-General Employees Working Remote

All General Employees: City Hall-Public Works-Code Compliance will be working remote from home and will be on call and staff will respond as issues present themselves.All city operations will be performed but we will learn a new way to provide services.  Staff will be available for emergencies.  Everyone is and will be working in some fashion and accountable to their directors.

We will still process payments and permits as needed and we encourage customers pay online.

The city is absorbing the credit card fees to encourage online payments.

First responders are working please call 911 if you have an emergency.

There may be some bumps in the road but as a team your city staff will address any challenges or issues that may come up.  The city staff knows their assignments, and each has specific roles and if in doubt they will contact their director or the city manager.

I feel this is in the best interest in promoting the safety of our employees and or citizens as we all overcome this virus by working together and taking the required medical advice:


I hope you understand the reasons we are taking these actions, but we cannot wait on Washington or Tallahassee when we see the number of cases rising steadily in Central Florida.

Working together, we as a city, a state and a nation will recover, and we will adapt accordingly.
